About Pumba Safari Cottages
Pumba Safari Cottages is a budget-friendly
safari lodge perched on the rim of the Western Rift Valley in Kyambura,
overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park. Opened in 2013, the lodge is part of
the Woodland Lodges Uganda chain managed by Mamaland Safaris. Guests enjoy
magnificent panoramic views over the savanna and often spot elephants visiting
the waterhole below. The lodge offers five cozy, self-contained cottages each
with a private veranda, warm showers (solar-heated), comfortable beds with
mosquito nets, electricity for lighting and charging, and hangers/luggage
stands. The on-site restaurant serves locally sourced meals and offers stunning
views of the plains. Pumba is an ideal base for chimp trekking in Kyambura
Gorge, boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel, community walks, Rwenzori visits,
and game drives in QENP
