About this Activity

nown as the "Primate Capital of the World," Kibale National Park hosts the most popular chimpanzee tracking experience in East Africa. This activity involves a guided hike through the dense, tropical rainforest to find a habituated community of Eastern Chimpanzees. Once located, you will observe our closest living relatives (sharing 98.7% of human DNA) as they swing through the canopy, groom one another, hunt for Colobus monkeys, or interact on the forest floor. The forest's atmosphere, punctuated by the loud, echoing pant-hoots of the chimps, makes this one of the most auditory and thrilling wildlife experiences in Uganda.
