About this Activity
Mountain Gorilla Trekking is a profound wildlife encounter that takes you deep into the ancient, afro-montane forests of southwestern Uganda. Accompanied by expert UWA (Uganda Wildlife Authority) rangers and trackers, you will navigate through dense undergrowth, steep ridges, and tangled vines to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. Once found, you are permitted one hour to observe these gentle giants as they groom, forage, and play. It is a rare opportunity to see a species that shares roughly 98% of human DNA in their completely natural, wild habitat.
